Taunton Funeral Service during the Coronavirus Pandemic

We understand this is a concerning and confusing time for everyone. Right now, we are continuing to take the greatest care of families and arrange funerals as we always do. At the same time, we are putting into place measures to ensure we are able to care for families and the deceased during this time with as much care and compassion, and protection for everyone involved as possible.

We are working closely with the government and the funeral sector to ensure that we deliver the services that are needed, whilst providing the necessary protection for you and your family. The situation is changing daily, and we will adapt accordingly, but right now these are the measures that we have put in place to ensure the well-being of everyone.

High levels of Hygiene and Safety
We already operate with the highest levels of hygiene and safety standards. However, we have implemented additional cleaning routines and procedures in line with guidance from Public Health England to ensure the safety of our staff and all visitors.

If you need to talk to us about arranging a funeral
With new Government guidance we will be arranging all funerals through phone and email to ensure we protect visitors and staff.
The office is open as normal, but we would appreciate a call before any visits to our office.

We continue to offer our 24-hour service.

What happens if you affected by Covid-19 or self-Isolating?
If you are affected by Covid-19 or you are self-isolating, we have procedures in place that will ensure we can still arrange a funeral with you. Please call first before coming to see us so that we can give you the correct guidance.
At the moment there are no specific restrictions in place regarding funerals, however there may be limitations in some services that we can provide. This may change and we will provide as much information as possible with you during any arrangements.

Caring for someone who has died with COVID-19
We are experienced and well prepared to take care of people who have died under all circumstances, including COVID-19. We will look after your loved one in a caring and dignified manner at all times.

We are constantly monitoring updates from Public Health England and the UK Government. As new information becomes available, we will look to amend our operations accordingly and will provide any updates that we can through our website.
